Papers: what we prepare and what Egypt asks for
We prepare in Turkey
- Commercial invoiceEvery model, its quantity and price.
- Packing listWhat is in each carton, its weight and size, from the inspection.
- Certificate of originFor Egypt it's the EUR.1 or EUR-MED, which lets Turkish industrial goods enter duty-free under the trade agreement.
What Egypt asks of you
- ACID numberBefore loading, the Egyptian importer registers the shipment on Nafeza and gets an ACID; the Turkish exporter sends the invoice and papers through CargoX. Without an ACID the cargo isn't loaded.Official site
- Importers RegisterThe Egyptian buyer must be on the Importers Register kept by GOEIC, the export and import control authority.Official site
- Factory registrationFor many consumer goods, such as clothes, footwear, carpets, furniture, cosmetics, toys, appliances and sweets, the Turkish factory or brand owner must be registered with GOEIC before export. A trader without its own brand can't register; the factory must.Official site
Trade agreement and duties
The Türkiye–Egypt free trade agreement has been in force since 2007: Turkish industrial goods enter duty-free with an EUR.1 or EUR-MED. Farm products have only limited concessions.
